Hello and welcome to my very first blog post! This is something I have had sitting in a folder on my desktop for months and months but have not had a chance to really sit down and focus on but hey- New Year, New Goals! I participated in many small business courses last year (mostly because having a business is scary as heck and I need all the help I can get) and one consistent theme I heard over and over was to start a blog- so here we are. {Insert the scary as heck} Now having a blog may sound real fancy and legit but honestly I am dusting off my typing skills and sarcastic humour to hopefully bring you all something entertaining and if you can learn something along the way- then heck I am better at this than I thought!

We have officially been in business since November 2020 at our current location at 1207 4^th street Estevan but I have been painting, designing and creating for many years. Fast forward to now, and we are booking months in advance for furniture refinishing, we retail 3 professional paint lines, natural soy candles, soaps and cleaners among other unique home décor items, - if you can envision it, we can create it!

We have some fun workshops planned for the end of the month so if you have never tried Fusion Mineral Paint or Milk Paint by Fusion and you want to learn more or you have a project you want to tackle- an old dresser or even your kitchen cabinets- this is the class you will want to attend!! We also have a BYOP (bring your own piece) workshop scheduled for anyone that has a piece they want to start but aren’t sure exactly what to do. We also host private workshops for birthday parties, ladies night out, and bridal and baby showers! With private events, you assist in picking out a project and the dates are more flexible. Email info@jewelsandjemsfurnitureredesigns.com to discuss booking a class!

We are excited to announce we have a whole new division of Jewels and Jems Furniture Redesigns coming very soon!!! Like Fedex literally just interrupted me to drop off the BIG machine!!! More on that to come….

Jewels and Jems Furniture Redesigns is more than just furniture refinishing. It’s an experience and a feeling. It’s a creative space. It’s a happy place for all that life has thrown at us and over the past 2 years in this world- that has been a lot!!! I am glad you are here and I hope we can inspire you along the way!
